Apollo and FWB Park Brown Thought Leadership Dinner

By December 4, 2019News & updates

On Thursday 28th November, Apollo and FWB Park Brown collaborated on the latest of a series of successful Thought Leadership dinners, welcoming over 50 senior leaders to the Chester Hotel, Aberdeen. Kirsty Blackman MP (Aberdeen North) and Deirdre Michie (Chief Executive, OGUK) led the evening’s discussion. Following on from our last thought leadership event and the continued NET ZERO debate, the discussion focused on how the oil & gas industry maintains its societal, political and financial licence to continue as a key part of the energy mix.

Deirdre focused on the objectives and plans for implementing Roadmap 2035, which was launched alongside OGUK’s 2019 Economic Report at Offshore Europe this September, whilst Kirsty offered an insight to governmental perceptions, along with the view through a politicians lens.

A lively discussion followed dinner, chaired by Stuart Cochrane (Director, FWB Park Brown) who commented “stimulated by both Deirdre and Kirsty, our guests were keen to discuss a range of subjects related to the evening’s topic and they participated in an insightful and well-informed debate”.
