  • North British Distillery, a key supplier of spirit for distillers to use in blended whiskies, has appointed Alan Kilpatrick, formerly of Baxters Food Group and Devro Plc as Managing Director.  He succeeds David Rae and becomes only the 11th MD in its 130 year history
  • Dame Susan Bruce DBE has been appointed Chair of RSNO, Scotland’s National Orchestra.  Until recently she served as CEO of City of Edinburgh Council and is also a Non Executive Director of SSE plc
  • Jason McBurnie has joined high growth Enterprise Foods as Finance Director, based in East Kilbride. Enterprise is backed by Hattington Capital and is a local sourcing specialist in the food industry, working with over 400 suppliers to bring local specialities to the wider audience.  Jason was previously Corporate Finance Director at PwC  both in Glasgow and Shanghai
  • John Millar has joined Exova PLC  as Sales Director for the European Oil & Gas and Industrials business, based in Edinburgh and was previously Group Sales Director at Surface Technology PLC.  Exova is one of the world’s leading providers of testing, calibration and advisory services, with over 4500 employees in 32 countries worldwide
  • Michael Hau has joined Safetykleen as ManagingDirector (Germany) based in Cologne.  He was previously a Director of Cytec (the multi-national materials manufacturing business), based in USA and had worked in Australia and Germany.  Safetykleen is a £300m global rental and support services business backed by Warburg Pincus.  Joe Wilson also joins as Sales Director, based at the Global HQ near London, having previously been Sales Director for Tyco Fire & Security
  • Alan Laidlaw has been appointed a Non Executive Director of Hamilton & Kinneil Estates, the holding company of the commercial and real estate interests of the Duke and Duchess of Hamilton.  Alan is a Portfolio Manager with The Crown Estate and manages the rural and coastal assets of the business across Scotland and Northern Ireland
  • Business Stream is a leading UK water retail business which offers cost efficient water supply and waste water solutions as well as helping businesses control their water usage.  It has appointed Jim McDowall as Financial Director and he joins from Raytheon
  • Insights is a major player in the global people development industry and has blue chip clients around the world.  Jacqueline Kipps has joined as Group Financial Controller from Dart Energy where she was UK FD
  • Jennifer Mair has been appointed as Head of Governance, Legal and Company Secretariat of Martin Currie Investment Management.  She joins after a successful career at Barclays Bank plc
  • Keith Geddes has been appointed as Finance Director of Glasgow-based JW Filshill, the fifth generation family-run wholesale distribution and cash and carry business which also own the retail brand “KeyStore”.  He is formerly of Tullis Russell and Response
  • Darrell Williams is the new COO of Edinburgh International Science Festival.  He joins from Macroberts Art Centre where he was Executive Director.  Each year EISF delivers one of Europe’s largest science festivals, a primary school education program across Scotland and a variety of international programming activities and projects
  • Scott Taylor has joined MSIS as FinancialDirector.  They provide specialist equipment and services for onshore and offshore industries and recently secured a £20 million investment from Primary Capital Partners.  The Management Due Diligence on the transaction was also conducted by FWB Park Brown.  Scott was previously Financial Director of ADTI
  • Souter Investments is the investment vehicle of Stagecoach founder Sir Brian Souter and family and has an impressive array of investments in a variety of sectors globally.  Stuart Callion has been appointed to its team after a successful career at Deloitte
  • Adam Delaney has joined Scottish Equity Partners as Finance Director of a key portfolio company, IndigoPipelines.  It is a specialist provider of low pressure gas connections for residential and commercial customers across the UK.  He joins from Infrastructure Managers Ltd
  • Daniel Donald has joined Quartermile from Galliford Try Investments as Project Manager to support the team in continuing to develop Edinburgh’s award winning and hugely impressive mixed use development on the site of the former Royal Infirmary in Lauriston
  • Jon Wood has joined Kames Fish Farming near Oban as Operations Manager.  He was previously Owner and General Manager of Asesorías, an Environmental Aquaculture consultancy business based in Chile
  • Tony McInnes has been appointed CEO of the beautiful Ardtornish Estate, located in Morvern, near Lochaber and joins from Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park where he was Head of Commercial Development
  • Dance Base, Scotland’s National Centre for Dance has appointed two new Non Executive Directors. They are Donna Malone, Global HR Director of Howden Group and Ashley Steven, Director of Equity Management at Clydesdale Bank
