Sharon Brown has been appointed to the board of Celtic plc as a Non Executive Director. She is formerly CFO of Dobbies Garden Centres and is currently a Non Executive Director of McColl’s Retail Group plc, Fidelity Special Values plc and F&C Capital & Income Investment plc.


Geraldine Pamphlett has joined Weir Group PLC as Director of Reward from the New York based social software platform developer Sprinklr where she was Reward Director. She was previously Global Head of Reward for Foster Wheeler.


Scottish Water has appointed Emma Campbell as Group General Counsel. She has joined from Balfour Beatty plc where she was Managing Counsel, Scotland and North.


The City of Edinburgh Council has made six Executive Leadership appointments. Laurence Rockey joins as Head of Strategy and Insight from UK Government, Simon Higgins is the new Head of Communications and joins from Suffolk County Council, Nicola Harvey who was previously with Capita Outsourcing joins as Head of Customer and Bruce Strang has been appointed Head of IT having most recently worked as a consultant. Peter Watton has been promoted internally to the position of Head of Property and Facilities Management as has Nick Smith, who has been promoted to the position of Head of Legal and Risk.


Scottish Leather Group is the largest manufacturer of leather in the UK and has many blue chip global customers. Ed Smith and Alistair Kerr have been appointed as Non Executive Directors. Ed is a former MD within Lloyds Banking Group having built his career with Rover Group, Pilkington, Diageo and RBS. Alistair is a Non Executive Director of a number of companies and in his Executive career he managed Body Shop (EMEA), Kwik-Fit and Virgin Retail Group.


Highland Spring, one of Scotland’s most iconic businesses, has appointed Richard Hamilton as Head of UK Sales. He joins from REL Field Marketing where was Business Unit Director.


Howden is a global engineering business with over 6,000 employees and companies in over 27 countries. Fionnuala Barrie has been appointed Global HR Director and joins from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she was EMEA HR Director.


Business Stream, owned by Scottish Water, is a major business offering cost efficient water supply and waste water solutions to customers throughout the UK. Ed Smith, a former MD within Lloyds Banking Group, having built his career with Rover Group, Pilkington, Diageo and RBS has been appointed as a Non Executive Director.


On an ongoing international campaign for the oilfield services business Interwell, so far we have appointed Yasir Al Mujaini & Tariq Al-Taj in Senior Sales Roles in Oman and Saudi Arabia respectively. Both Yasir and Tariq previously worked with Halliburton in the Middle East.


George Baxter is the new CEO of Edinburgh Research & Innovation (ERI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Edinburgh, which manages technology transfer, company formation and industry engagement. He joins from the University of Nottingham.


David Dishon, has been appointed Finance Director of Loganair, known as “Scotland’s Airline”. He was previously Finance Director of Caledonian Sleeper, part of Serco plc.


Nicola McIntosh has been appointed as the Finance Director for The Oil & Gas Technology Centre, the “go to” global centre for solving offshore mature basin, subsea and decommissioning technology challenges. Nicola joins the OGTC following an eighteen year career at Maersk where she latterly held the position of Head of Finance & Business Services for Global Operations based at the head office in Copenhagen.


The Institute of Occupational Medicine, a leading research facility that focuses on workplace health has appointed Professor Rob Aitken as its new Chief Executive.


Superglass plc, the leading manufacturer of glass mineral wool insulation has appointed Andy Murray as Sales Director. He joins from rival Kingspan. Superglass was recently acquired by the Russian group TechnoNICOL International.


In a further series of HR appointments, Sara Copeland is the new Head of HR for Startline Motor Finance and joins from Glasgow Life; Susan Garmary is Organisational Development Manager at North British Distillery and was formerly with Co-op and Alison Forrest has joined Peak Scientific as Interim Head of HR.


The James Hutton Institute is a well-respected and globally recognised research organisation delivering fundamental and applied science to drive the sustainable use of land and natural resources. Derek Leslie has been appointed Finance Director and was previously CFO of the PE-backed Macduff Shellfish.


Peter McCallum joins Chemring, a manufacturer of propellants, rocket motors, explosives and pyro mechanisms for the aircraft, missile and demolition industries as Business Unit General Manager. He joins from Camlin Technologies in Northern Ireland where he was Head of Operations.


Steven Lockhart joins Johnson Matthey Macfarlan Smith, who are the world’s leading manufacturer of opiate alkaloids, as Head of Production. He joins from Petroineos Refining where he was Operations Manager.


Martin Ramsay has joined First Milk as Factory Manager for the Lake District Creamery. He joins from Karro Foods (formerly Vion) where he was Site Director in Hull and Stoke. Graeme Stirling has also joined as Interim Factory Manager for the Campbelltown & Arran Creameries. He was formerly with Genius Foods and Highland Spring.
