FWB PB supports Baxters Food Group to defy Covid-19 challenge and appoint a new European Head of Finance

Baxters Food Group have appointed Maik Blumentritt as Head of Finance for their European business.

Following an otherwise regular trip to Scotland visiting family in the North East, Maik found himself unable to return to his home in Switzerland due to Coronavirus lockdown restrictions and decided to explore his longstanding wish to relocate to Scotland. The recruitment process led by FWB Park Brown Director, Graham Burns, was conducted ‘virtually’ and Maik has now begun his new role whilst still in lockdown in Peterhead.

He brings a wealth of experience to the role, most recently as Head of Accounting Central Europe West with global building materials company Holcim in Switzerland.

Commenting on the appointment Graham Burns said “This is a really good example of how all parties involved have been able to adapt quickly, and use technology well, in circumstances which will become part of the new normal. We are delighted to have been of help to both Baxters Food Group and Maik in this appointment and wish them well.”
