New Financial Director at Green Highland Renewables Ltd

  • Uncategorized

Green Highland has raised a significant amount of finance and investment to develop its pipeline of hydro projects.  Hazel is an experienced finance professional, having worked for many years within the banking sector in a number of roles, and most recently in insurance as Mergers & Acquisitions Director for Giles Insurance Brokers Limited, one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers.  As Mergers & Acquisitions Director she established a formal process for all group acquisition activity, personally completed 20 acquisitions, and oversaw the completion of a further 10 transactions, and was appointed as a main board director of Giles.

Her appointment will augment the management team of GHR going forward into its next phase of company development.  Managing Director Ian Cartwright says:  “I would like to welcome Hazel and look forward to her becoming a valued and important member of the team, at a time when we are about to realise the efforts of the last few years and take a significant number of schemes into construction.”

Scott Black of FWB commented “Green Highland is a fascinating renewable energy business and we are delighted to have been involved with this important appointment.  Hazel has a very strong background in banking, private equity and M&A combined with a great ‘can do’ approach, which made her an ideal match.  In recent years FWB has worked for a wide range of companies in the renewable energy market covering wind, wave and hydro and we expect that our involvement will increase as the demand for senior level talent builds.”
