Director of After-Sales

Flexible location, ideally Manchester

Our client is a leading supplier of specialist industrial machinery. The UK business has a turnover fast-approaching £150m and is investing in acquisitive growth with a target of doubling turnover in the next three years.

The Director of After-Sales will report to the Group Chief Executive and lead the After-Sales side of the whole group. They will redesign the structure to enable the implementation of a more sophisticated After-Sales service proposition. They will evaluate the feasibility of a technical help desk and how telematics can be used proactively. They will shape the strategic direction through the development and implementation of their own business plan and ensure that every aspect of the journey is accounted for; including the anticipated resource required to deliver the more comprehensive service proposition.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in the future growth of the service business, taking the group in the direction from a predominantly product business to a service-led business. Candidates are likely to come from the product, support services, or rental sectors and will have leadership experience of growing an after-sales business of scale.
