Additionally, the National Museums Collection Centre is an internationally significant facility for collections, research, access and storage. Over 3.2 million visitors a year are welcomed across all four museums.

NMS now seeks exceptional candidates for the role of Head of Estates. Reporting to the Director of Estates and Facilities, the Head of Estates will be responsible for the operational maintenance and minor works programme of the diverse multi-site portfolio.

The Head of Estates will manage the Estate’s pre-planned and reactive maintenance and utilities budgets, energy efficiency measures, suppliers, term contractors and be responsible for ensuring all statutory compliance and business continuity risks are controlled.

  • Support the Director of Estates & Facilities in coordinating Major Capital Programme
  • Develop the scope of contracts, preparing specifications and tender documentation
