About the role

BACKGROUND

International Beverage’s vision is to nurture, develop and grow a portfolio of premium brands in global markets to deliver superior returns for its business, shareholders, employees and partners.

Key to delivering this objective is the development of a core of five, clearly identified, global priority brands, namely: Old Pulteney Single Malt Whisky; Balblair Single Malt Whisky; anCnoc Single Malt Whisky; Speyburn Single Malt Whisky; Hankey Bannister Blended Scotch Whisky; as well as Caorunn Gin.

Crucial to the development of these brands is the role of Marketing Director, where the successful candidate will be responsible for placing marketing at the forefront of the business and championing a new marketing led culture across the whole business and portfolio of brands.

International Beverage is a subsidiary of Thai Beverages plc, one of South East Asia’s largest beverage alcohol companies.  Headquartered in Hong Kong, International Beverage operates in over 90 countries and territories around the world.

THE ROLE

This will be an influential position where the main objective will be to utilise the marketing budget in an effective, creative and cost-effective manner to gain the maximum impact in the marketplace and which will result in increased revenues and profits.

This will be achieved through the design and delivery of a new long-term marketing strategy and by leading the marketing and brands team to build both the profile of the business and its brands through a range of channels including, public relations, merchandising, event management, digital marketing and direct marketing as well as above the line activity.

Experience of developing and driving an enhanced Digital Strategy and in opening up new streams of revenue and channels of communication will be essential in the modernisation and development of international marketing strategy for these brands.

The Marketing Director will take an active part in the Senior Management Team and cultivate relationships with leadership teams in the parent company and in-market companies.  They will be a creative and collaborative leader who is able to inspire their team and work internationally cross-discipline to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of centrally developed campaigns for the respective markets.

The position is based at the company’s Scottish operation (Inver House Distillers HQ) in Airdrie and reports to the Vice President of Marketing, based in Bangkok.
