This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oil and Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) in a role that will have a strategic impact on extending the competitive life of the UK’s oil and gas industry, supporting the drive towards a net zero basin.
Established in 2016, the OGTC’s vision is to be the ‘go to’ world-class technology centre for adapting, developing and deploying technology for the oil and gas industry. Through the work delivered by our Solution Centres, National Centres (R&D) and Accelerator Programme (TechX), the OGTC is committed to maximising the economic recovery in the North Sea and doubling associated oil and gas supply chain exports over the next ten years.
To date we have co-invested £120 million across 200 projects, with 90 field trial completed, planned or underway. From innovative seismic databases that improve exploration performance, through to ground-breaking marine turbines for generating subsea power – these transformative technologies are moving the dial on North Sea challenges.
This creation of the Net Zero Solution Centre is a critical step in the next phase of the OGTC. This new centre will work alongside the six existing Solution Centres to develop and deploy technology that moves the dial in reducing the carbon footprint of the UKCS. Reporting to the Solution Centre Director, this pivotal role is responsible for the delivering all operational aspects of the Net Zero Solution Centre. The successful candidate is expected to add value technically, strategically and operationally across other Solution Centres.
