Peacock Salt, a privately owned business headquartered in Ayr, is the UK’s largest salt importer. It is a company with great history and heritage built up over 140 years. The last few decades have seen them build ships, fully automate their lines, develop a leading oilfield service business, a network of national depots and products and services that, with a fair wind, will set them on course for another 140 years.

They would like to appoint a second Non Executive Director to their Board who can dedicate two days/month to help them achieve their ambitions. We don’t mind particularly what industrial sector experience he/she might have, but we are looking for a Sales & Marketing background to compliment the existing skills across the Board. Candidates would either be current Executives with the scope and interest in having an outside appointment – or someone who is already a Non Executive Director and who is looking to add to their portfolio.
