Non Executive Director

CJ Lang is a 4th generation family-owned Scottish business and, with a turnover of £200 million and directly employing c.2000 people, it is one of Scotland’s largest independent companies. Headquartered in Dundee, it both supplies and operates 108 of its own retail convenience stores under the SPAR brand, as well as supplying a further 230 independently owned stores, also operating under the SPAR Scotland franchise. It therefore enjoys the position of the leading independent Food Wholesaler & Retailer in the country.

Under a new leadership team, it has recently developed a new five-year customer-focused business strategy to deliver its ambitious plans. To support this the Board now seeks to appoint a second (alongside the Chair) Independent Non Executive Director.
