William Grant & Sons Ltd. is a highly profitable, independent, c£1.3bn turnover family-owned Scottish company that distils Scotch whisky and other selected categories of spirits. Established in 1887 by William Grant, the organisation maintains its family roots and is now managed by the descendants of its founder.

The company is one of the largest global producers of Scotch whisky and has offices across the world. These offices include New York, Shanghai, South Korea, Singapore and of course its central headquarters in Strathclyde Business Park, near Glasgow and its Sales & Marketing headquarters in London.

 Opportunity

A key Board appointment, reporting directly to the Group Operating Director, this is an opportunity for an experienced Global Supply Chain leader to join a truly global and iconic business. The Supply Chain and Procurement Director will provide overall leadership and direction to the global function encompassing planning, procurement, distribution and customer relations. This is a critical and key leadership role that will have group wide exposure and drive improvement in global service capability. The successful candidate will work strategically with the Senior Leadership and Executive teams to influence and drive the development of the Global Supply Chain function.

The primary focus is to develop a more agile and effective Supply Chain capability which delivers a best in class service for internal stakeholders and most importantly end customers. This will be done whilst maintaining a focus on delivering value and scaling for further growth whilst minimising risk.

The person to join our team must be able to demonstrate strong and dynamic leadership, be a natural and influential change agent and not be phased by ambiguity. They will be an inspirational figure with the ability to both drive change in terms of both strategy development and its implementation, maintaining a focus on detail and involvement at all stages.

The individual will deliver through coaching, managing and leading their teams and demonstrate a best in class knowledge of global supply chain models to raise performance.
