  • Green Highland Renewables which specializes in the development of small scale Hydro electric schemes has appointed Hazel McIntyre as FD.  She joins from Giles Insurance where she was M&A Director.
  • Kerry Sharp is the new Director of The Scottish Investment Bank.  SIB supports the development of Scotland’s SME funding market to ensure that both early stage and established businesses with growth and export potential have adequate access to growth capital.
  • Dave Walton has joined Tesco Bank as Operations Director (Insurance).  He was previously with Vodafone and American Express.
  • Hillhouse Estates, owners of Hillhouse Quarry and extensive land, commercial and agricultural interests has appointed Norman Yarrow as a Non Executive Director. For many years Norman was a Director of NVM Private Equity and a Non Executive of a number of Scottish private companies.
  • Johnstons of Elgin, known the world over as experts in cashmere and fine woolens (and one of Scotland’s most iconic companies) has appointed Tom Syme as Operations Director.
  • Devro Scotland, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Collagen Casings for the food industry has appointed Jayne Patterson as HR Manager.  She joins from Bakkavor Group.
  • Duncan Lawrence, previously MD of Lamellar Biomedical has joined TauRx as Head of Regulatory Affairs.  TauRx is the life sciences company focused on the development of treatments and diagnostics for Alzheimers Disease.
  • Atlas, the Private Equity backed global oil and gas learning technology company has appointed Graeme Park as CFO.  He joins from FirstGroup plc and was previously with Wood Group plc and Diageo. Indre Lisauskaite has also joined as a Business Performance Analyst to help support the growth of the business over the next few years.  Indre was formerly in Corporate Finance with Blas in Edinburgh.
  • The National Galleries of Scotland have appointed Steve Morgan as General Manager of its trading arm – NGS Trading.  He is formerly of Harvey Nicols and Jet2.com.
  • Exova, one of the world’s leading providers of testing, calibration and advisory services have appointed Stephen Donnelly as Commercial Finance Manager and Derek Montgomery as Head of European HR.
  • Andrew Carnwath has joined Scottish Equity Partners as an Associate, working on the Environmental Energies Fund.  He was previously with F&C Asset Management plc.
  • Simmons & Co, Investment Bankers to the energy industry have appointed Richard Kemp from PWC as an Associate, based in Aberdeen.
  • Following its appointment of Gavin Willins as Head of Scotland, BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Gary Cameron from Inglis Howie as Investment Director and Nadir Khan-Juhoor and Marcus Weurman from Knight Frank to lead its Office Agency business.
  • Sally Jones has joined MacRoberts, a leading Scottish legal firm as Chief Operating Officer.  She joins from Thornton & Co, a London firm of Patent Attorneys.
  • Alice Martin has been appointed to The Mount Stuart Trust, on the Isle of Bute, to manage The Bute Collection which is one of the foremost private collections of artwork and artefacts in the UK, especially notable for its British portraiture from the 18th and 19th centuries, Italian masterpieces from the 16th century, and Dutch and Flemish Old Masters. Alice joins from Chartwell, the family home of Winston Churchill, where she managed the house and collection.
  • The RS MacDonald Trust, an independent (endowed) grant-making trust which supports welfare work and medical research across Scotland, has appointed Douglas Hamilton as Chief Executive. Douglas was formerly Director of Save the Children in Scotland. 
  • The leading charity, Quarriers, supporting children, adults and families across Scotland and parts of England, has appointed Garry Leach as Head of Business Development. Garry was Head of Operations for Alternative Futures Group based in Liverpool.
  • The National Trust for Scotland has appointed Keith Halstead as a Project Leader to focus on some of the Trust’s major Signature Projects. Keith was formerly Chief Executive of the Community Transport Association based in Cheshire.
  • Simon Plevin has joined MacFarlan Smith – a world leader in production of alkaloid opiates and other controlled drugs – as its Senior Sales Business Manager – Europe.  He was previously a Business Development and Sales Director within Glaxo Smithkline.
  • Cabot Norit, the world’s largest producer of activated carbon has appointed Mairi Nicol-Wood as its Technology Manager.  She joins from BASF where was she was Head of NDP.
