Leading housebuilder Springfield Properties plc has appointed Ian Logan as CFO.

Stephen Smith has joined significant logistics operator Russell Group as Group Finance Director. He has a wealth of financial leadership experience across manufacturing and service industries.

Owner of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society Artisanal Spirits plc has appointed Billy McCarter as CFO. Chris Leggat also joins as Commercial Director and was previously with Douglas Laing & Co.

Family-owned Angus Soft Fruits is a leading supplier of berries to retailers in the UK, Europe & Asia. Robert Hunter joins from major salad & veg producer G’s Fresh as Group Financial Director.

Leading global manufacturer of brown fibre and ducted network solutions for the telecoms sector, Emtelle is a real Scottish success story with very impressive global growth. Nathan Cahoon joins as UK Finance Director. He was previously Plant Controller with Ahlstrom.

Moore Global is an accounting and advisory network with over 34,000 people in 522 offices across 112 countries. Karen Storie joins as Global Finance Director from East Renfrewshire Culture & Leisure where she was Director of Finance and Commercial Services.

Aegon UK has appointed Mohit Dhingra as Chief Internal Auditor. He was previously Head of Internal Audit with leading employee benefits provider Unum.

Kevin Stevenson is the new Group Financial Controller for leading supply chain solutions provider Menzies Distribution. He was previously Financial Controller at Sky.

Leading provider of build-to-rent housing, Sigma Capital, has appointed Thomas Sansom as Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. He joins from PWC.

Alan Greer has been appointed Head of Finance with leading motor finance provider Startline. He joins from EY, having previously held a number of financial leadership posts with Virgin Money plc.

CEO Appointments

Owned by Linton Investments, Fragrance Group London specialises in the creation, marketing & sales of signature fragrances & beauty products. Hanna Coonagh has joined as CEO having been Chief Strategy Officer for PPC Holdings and MD of Inovia International.

VSA is a major charity in Aberdeen offering care support and vital services to vulnerable people living in its communities. Susan Freeth has been appointed as CEO and was previously COO of Victim Support Scotland.

Synergie Environ provides low carbon engineering and project management development in the clean tech sector. John Mullen joins as Managing Director from Ramboll where he was Country Director for Energy.

Marina Harper is the new Head of Scotland Office for Minster Law, the personal injury and family law specialists.

Non-Executive Appointments

Leading media company  STV plc has appointed Naomi Climer CBE as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of its Remuneration Committee. She is a NED of Oxford Metrics plc and Focusrite plc, the Co-Chair of the Institute for the Future of Work and a Consultant to Sony – UK Technology.

The University of Dundee has appointed the National Library of Scotland CEO, Amina Shah, and former Stewart Milne Group CEO, Glenn Allison as Lay Members of Court.

ATL Turbine Services, the gas turbine specialist, has appointed Keith Mitchell as Chair. He is a Partner in N4, has chaired a number of industrial businesses globally and is the former CEO of Clyde Union Pumps.

The Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home has appointed Lesley Watt as its new Chair. She brings a wealth of Executive and NED experience across a variety of organisations including third sector, privately owned and listed businesses across the UK. She is currently a NED with Tatton Investment Management and Sosandar plc.

The wonderful Scottish Ballet, with whom we have enjoyed a fabulous relationship over the years, has appointed Julie Barr as a Non-Executive Director. She is also a NED of the famous AG Barr plc, purveyors of the phenomenal Irn-Bru.

The University of Strathclyde has appointed PWC partner Michael Timar and Baxters Food Group HRD Clyde Marwick as Lay Members of Court.

John Dalley has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. He was most recently CFO of Scotmid and previously held FD posts within the consumer goods and retail sectors.

Catherine Goodwin has been appointed as Chair of the Samaritans in Wales. She is the Assistant Director of Inclusion, Culture & Well-Being for Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.

Energy Appointments

Venterra engineers and supports the operations of wind energy developments around in the world. David Crowther has joined as Group General Counsel. He was previously Deputy GC & SVP Corporate & Governance of Paysafe Group.

Synergie Environ provides low carbon engineering and project management development in the clean tech sector. Gavin Ramsay joins from McLaughlin & Harvey as Director of Waste & Circular Economy.

Mark Ritchie, formerly of Richard Irvin and ICR Integrity, has joined downhole electronics specialist Enteq Technologies as CFO.

Massimo Delia has been appointed General Manager, VP Asia Pacific of decommissioning specialist Well-Safe Solutions. He joins from Helix Energy Solutions in Perth Australia.

Ashtead Technologies, the integrated subsea technology company, has appointed Christine Cochrane as Group HR Director. She was previously Group People and Culture Director of Global Energy Group.

Global innovator in subsea technologies Unique Group has made two further appointments.  Ian Hunter joins as Business Development Manager Europe and is formerly of Silixa and DOF Subsea and Jack Dougherty is the new Head of USV (Global) and is formerly of Al Seer Marine and Integer Technologies.

The technology of RAB Microfluidics enables real-time oil monitoring for its customers. David Hill joins as Head of Sales from Innospec where he was Sales Director EMEA.

Operations Appointments

A world leader in premium spirits, Beam Suntory has made three significant appointments.  Karen McKee is Director – Quality & Manufacturing Development (UK & Ireland) and is formerly of Coca-Cola and Kenny McClure is Supply Chain Director and joins from ThermoFisher Scientific.  Martin Condron has also joined from Diageo as Director of Operations (Ireland). Its brands include Laphroaig, Bowmore and Auchentoshan, as well as of course Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark.

William Grant & Sons, producers of amazing brands like Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Hendrick’s, has appointed Jim Cuthbert as Site Leader at Strathclyde Business Park. He was formerly General Manager of Pladis.

Established in 1885, North British Distillery is one of Scotland’s oldest and largest scotch grain whisky producers. Louise Kennedy joins as Distillery Operations Manager from Versalis and John Stevenson as Project Manager. He was formerly with Celtic Renewables.

International Beverage is the dynamic global drinks business established in 2006 as the international arm of ThaiBev and its brands include Chang Beer, Mekhong, Old Pulteney, Hankey Bannister and Caorunn Gin. Fiona Meldrum joins from Chivas as Head of Supply Chain and Laura Millar, formerly of Vascutek joins as Head of Finance & Risk.

Global aquaculture and salmon processing business MOWI has made two further appointments to its management functions. David Filshie joins from Amazon as Head of Health & Safety for its Farming business in Scotland and Derrick Porter has been appointed as Lead Facilities Manager for its Consumer Products business in Rosyth, joining from City FM.

Wilkie is a fantastic Scottish company, creating innovations for customers around the globe through its advanced textiles technology. Michael McFadden joins as Production Manager from Chivas.

Robin Corkhill is the new Operations Director of Collinson Ceramics, a leading high-quality and innovative supplier of porcelain tiles. He joins from SA Equip where he was Head of Operations.

First Milk is a co-operative owned by the 700 farmers who supply them. Stephen Weild joins as Site Director at Haverfordwest and is formerly of 2 Sisters Food Group.

Student Loans Company has appointed Jackie Currie as Executive Director – Operations.

Technology, Digital & Data Appointments

Craig Dougan has joined Tesco Bank in the key role of  Director of Analytics & Customer Insight. He relocates from Australia where he was GM – Data & Analytics for Commonwealth Bank.

Stuart Lewis joins Scottish Enterprise as Director – Data, Digital & Information Technology. He was previously Head of Digital at Visit Scotland.

Paul Lyon joins PE-backed and high growth circular fashion expert ACS Clothing as Chief Technology Officer. He was previously IT Director with retailer Go-Outdoors and several re-commerce businesses.

St Andrews Links Trust manages seven public golf courses, including the legendary Old Course, as well as fantastic facilities for visitors. Tom Adcock joins as Digital Product Owner from a similar role at Chelsea FC in London.

David Beattie is the new Executive Director- Change, Data & Repayments at Student Loans Company and was previously Transformation Director with Aegon UK.

In A Number of HR Appointments

Debra Nichol Storie is the new European HRD of Baxters Food Group. She is formerly of the Scottish Salmon Company where she was HR Director.

Scottish Enterprise has appointed Gill McNeill as Chief People Officer. She was previously Head of People Services at Virgin Money plc.

Gillian Brydie is the new Executive Director of People at Student Loans Company and was previously Head of People & Transformation at NatWest Group.

Leading UK port operator, Forth Ports, has appointed Nikki Beveridge as HR Manager, Tilbury, London’s major port.

Leading private bank, Hampden & Co, has appointed Monique Ferguson as HR Business Partner. She is formerly of IIP Scotland.

Space Intelligence is a world leading nature data provider for nature based solutions and has appointed Helen Scott as Head of HR. She joins from PayPal.

Conservation and leisure business Wildland had appointed Susan Stewart as Head of HR. She was previously the People Director of Artfarm.

In Other Appointments

Dundee Rep & Scottish Dance Theatre sits in the cultural heart of the city as a centre of creative excellence. Evelyn Grant is now Strategic Lead for Corporate Services on a part time basis. She is also currently Head of Finance and Corporate Services at Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.

The renowned Royal Lyceum Theatre has appointed Anna Astel as Director of Audience and Annemarie Devlin as Development Director. Anna is formerly of BT and Annemarie joins from SAMH.
