Early 2018 has again been a busy period for FWB Park Brown, both at home and abroad, and we are pleased to announce that we have advised on the following appointments…

Leading UK packaging and labels business Macfarlane Group plc has appointed James Baird as Non Executive Director and Chair of Audit Committee. James previously led the Scotland and Northern Ireland Audit & Risk Advisory division of Deloitte before becoming its COO in Switzerland.

Bruce Cartwright has been appointed the new CEO of ICAS, one of the world’s leading global professional bodies for Chartered Accountants. He is a former PWC Partner and Head of Corporate Restructuring.

AMG Group is a leading owner and distributor of an impressive portfolio of premium outdoor, footwear and snow sports brands. Following an investment by Growth Capital Partners, Shona Quigley has been appointed as CFO. She previously held this position with Jumpstart and Barrie & Hibbert.

Martin Edwards has joined the worldwide chauffeuring business TBR Global as Chief Operating Officer. Martin joins from OCS where he has spent most of his career to date, most recently as Managing Director for the Business & Industry division.

Business Stream, a major UK operator in the non domestic market for water supply and waste water solutions has appointed Stuart Wallace to its board as a Non Executive Director. He is the COO of Forth Ports.

Colin McLean has been appointed as CEO of C J Lang, the retail and wholesale specialist which represents the SPAR brand in Scotland. One of the country’s largest independent companies, it also celebrates its centenary next year. He was previously COO of Scotmid.

Graham’s the Family Dairy has appointed Mark Aspinwall as Group Finance Director.  He was previously Central Financial Controller at AG Barr plc.

Chris McKendrick has joined Arran Aromatics, backed by PE firm Endless LLP as Chief Executive. He is formerly of Dobbies Garden Centres where he was Chief Operating Officer and his previous career, all of which has been in the retail sector, includes time with Evans Cycles, Cath Kidston and Dixons.

Scotia Security has appointed Charles Grant as Operations Manager. He joins from OEE Consulting and has prior experience with Babcock International. Scotia design, manufacture and install physical security and wireless access products for the Banking and ATM industries.

Donal Fullerton has been appointed as Finance Director of ECS Security (a division of ECS Group). He joins from Cloudreach where he was Head of Finance and Business Operations, having previously worked with Reaqua Systems, Biznet Solutions, BDO and KPMG.

Robbie King has joined Weir Group PLC as General Counsel for its EMENARI region. Robbie relocates from Switzerland to join Weir, based at its HQ in Glasgow. He was previously Transactions Counsel EMEA with Archer Daniels Midland, having also worked with Bunge and Citco.

Gordon Mullen has joined North British Distillery as Operations Manager for its maturation facility and joins from Mitsubishi Electric where he was the Production Manager.

Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group, owners of brands such as Amarone, Café Andaluz, Di Maggio’s, Barolo Grill and The Anchor Line, has appointed Terry Dourish as their Finance Director. He joins from Celtic plc.

Cristina Ruz has joined Menzies Aviation as VP HR, and joins from Volaris-Marine Portfolio: SpecTec and ShipNet where she was the Global Human Resources Director. She is also formerly of Aggreko plc.

James Fisher Defence has appointed Sarah Caldwell as Finance Director. Sarah has relocated back to Glasgow to assume the role having previously worked with Weir Group PLC in both the UK and USA.

J & D Wilkie, the global textiles business, has appointed Paula Batchelor into the newly created role of European Sales Manager. Paula brings with her considerable sales experience from her previous roles with Scott & Fyfe and Radio Tay.

Bruce Hall has been appointed Group Financial Controller of PE-backed Dobbies Garden Centres. He joins from Iomart plc where he was Group Financial Controller, having previously worked with IIR Ltd, Abbey Business Centres, Pacific Media and Deloitte.

Sandra Blake has joined Tesco Bank as Head of Colleague Capability. She was previously Head of Talent and Leadership Development at SSE plc.

Christine McGlasson has joined National Express as their new Managing Director for Xplore Dundee. Christine previously worked in senior Group Project Management & Commercial roles for Oceaneering and Alexander Dennis respectively.

Xavier Bastien, formerly Head of Global Partnerships and Alliances at Emarsys, has joined Eureka Solutions, one of the UK’s leading business systems experts, as Managing Director.

Anglia Maltings, a market leading, independent and international maltings and food ingredients business has appointed Stella Morse, formerly of Genius Foods, and Bill Farrar, formerly of Edrington, as Non Executive Directors.

Terry Cooke joins Johnson Matthey plc as Site Director, based in Annan. It is a world leader in the production of alkaloid opiates and other controlled drugs. He was previously Site Director for Alcami in The Netherlands.

Fios Genomics, a bioinformatics service provider performing data-analysis, data-mining and data-integration projects for companies and research institutions worldwide has appointed Michael Reynolds as Head of Commercial Operations.  He joins from Seven Bridges.

Zoe Todd joins Edinburgh Airport as Head of Integrated Business Planning.  She joins from AG Barr plc where she was most recently Commercial Controller, Impulse & International Channels.

Fiona Campbell has joined William Grant & Sons as an HR Business Partner. She was previously the HR Operations & Project Manager for Northern Marine Manning Services.

Peacock Salt is a 5th generation family business and the UK’s largest salt importer. John Reid has joined its board as a Non Executive Director. He is a NED of a number of organisations, including Murgitroyd plc and University of Edinburgh.

Ryboquin, a privately held pharmaceutical company focused on commercialising patented technologies in human cancer medicine, has appointed Ian McDonald as Chief Financial Officer.  He was previously CFO with Cyklop International, an international manufacturer of industrial transport and loading systems.

Grace Baxter joins Baxters Food Group as Head of HR – European Business Unit. She joins from Co-op where she was a Senior HR Business Partner.

Entier, Scotland’s largest independent contract catering and support services company has appointed Steven Ritchie as CFO following recent investment from BGF. He joins from Axis Well Technology and will help drive the expansion of its overseas operations.

Optos, the global leader in ophthalmic imaging, is investing in its world-class engineering division to deliver its next generation medical imaging solutions. It has appointed Elson Mourão (formerly of SecureWorks) as Head of Software Delivery, George Maistros (formerly of ION Geophysical) as Engineering Manager – Applications and Barry O’Rourke (formerly of CriticalBlue) as Engineering Manager – Hardware Control.

IMCC, a long-established fabrication and construction yard in Abu Dhabi, has appointed Karl Roberts as Group CEO. IMCC was acquired by the Emirates Business Group in late 2017 and Karl has been appointed to drive business growth within the UAE and broader international markets. Previously he was Chief Commercial Officer at Lamprell in Dubai following a successful career with KBR, the major EPC contractor.

Martin Paisley has been appointed as Managing Director of the Aberdeen-based technology business Paradigm Drilling. Martin will drive the commercialisation of new technologies into international markets such as the Middle East and USA. Martin has worked in many international locations with Smith International and Schlumberger.

KCA Deutag, one of the world’s leading drilling and engineering contractors has appointed Albert Allan as Senior VP of RDS Energy, its rig design and engineering subsidiary. He joins from The Oman Construction Company where he was Group General Manager (in Oman). KCA has also appointed Niall Polson as Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate after a successful career in practice with CMS.

Ardyne specialises in technology and services globally for intervention plugs and abandonment for the oil and gas industry. Jacob Wright has been appointed as the Regional Vice President North America and was previously the Vice President of Operations for Knight Oil Tools.

Superior Energy Services is an oilfield service company focused on serving the drilling, completion and production-related needs of oil and gas companies worldwide. One of its group companies, Pumpco Services, has appointed Christi Dowd as Director of Finance. Jaimie Kokrak also joins as HR Director.

Lexipol, a provider of risk management policies and resources for organizations through web based development systems, has appointed Chuck Corbin as Chief Revenue Officer. Chuck has an exceptional background in growing companies in the technology sector and previously held the role of Senior Vice President Sales – North America at RMG Networks.

Matt Gastgeb has been appointed as GM – USA for ICR Integrity, an international integrity and maintenance group of companies serving the energy industry as well as other industries across the globe. Matt previously held the role of Global Director for Quest Integrity.

Ashtead Technology is an independent provider of custom engineered solutions that ensures reliability, integration and capital efficiency for complex offshore operations. Steven Thrasher has joined as the Regional Director – US.

Witt O’Brien’s is a global leader in crisis and emergency management, with unrivaled experience and knowledge of public safety, disaster mitigation, continuity of operations, and emergency management issues. It has appointed Lance Suvans as Program Manager, and he joins from Schlumberger.

Awilco Drilling has appointed Matei Kiraly as Technical Superintendent. Matei, who joins from Rigmar Services, will support Awilco’s existing fleet of semi-submersible drilling rigs and also the newly commissioned rigs being built in Singapore.

Andrew Imrie has been appointed as Business Development Director with M2 Subsea. The Alchemy Partners funded ROV & subsea construction company is seeking further international growth and Andrew will leverage his successful business development career within the sector to further develop and execute a compelling business development strategy.

RIM Fabrications, part of the north-east based E-Blast group, has appointed Alan Little as Production Manager. Alan was previously General Manager at Gray & Adams and has many years’ experience in steel-based manufacturing environments having started as a graduate trainee with British Steel.

Aubin, the BGF-funded chemical solutions company, has appointed Andy Henderson as Sales Director. Previously Andy enjoyed a long and successful career with Baker Hughes in senior sales and account management roles.

Jim Halliday has assumed the role of Chief Executive of Ancala Midstream. Jim supported this investment in North Sea infrastructure during most of last year which completed successfully in late 2017. He was latterly Head of Global Commercial Operations for BP having held a number of senior roles with the major operator in the North Sea region and internationally.

Tarek Al Taj has joined Interwell as Sales Manager based in Saudi Arabia. Formerly with Halliburton in the region, Tarek was the latest in a series of appointments with Interwell following an assessment of their sales & business development capabilities in key international locations.
