2018 continues to be busy for FWB Park Brown, both at home and abroad, and we are pleased to announce that we have advised on the following appointments…

Appointments

Bob Brannan has been appointed Chair of the iconic Scottish company Walkers Shortbread. Bob has chaired a number of companies across a variety of sectors and is also formerly Managing Director of both William Grant & Sons and Whyte & Mackay.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) has appointed Ana Stewart to its Governing Council. She was the founder of i-design plc and is also a Non Executive Director of the Scottish Football Association.

Lindsay Campbell is the new Finance Director of The Macallan, the world-renowned and luxury single malt brand owned by Edrington.

The worldwide chauffeuring business TBR Global has appointed two Non Executive Directors. They are Raymond O’Hare, the former Director of Microsoft in Scotland and Gary Steel, the former Head of Human Resources for ABB Group and Chairman of ABB India.

Lyall Dochard has joined The St Andrews Links Trust as its new Finance Director. Lyall brings with him considerable finance and commercial experience from his time with the Iqarus Group in Dubai and, previously, Swire Oilfield Services in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Standard Investments has appointed Patricia Matheson, formerly of CYBG plc, as Interim Deputy HRD. Laura Ferguson also joins as an HR Business Partner from National Galleries of Scotland.

In a number of other HR Appointments Ventient Energy has appointed Ursula O’Brien, formerly of Wood Mackenzie and Aquamarine Power, as Head of HR; Pamela Simmons, formerly of RBS, is joining Scottish Ballet as Head of Health and Wellbeing; Lesley Thomson joins Menzies Aviation as a Divisional Head of HR and Graeme Ogle joins William Tracey, part of the Enva Group, as an HR Manager. Finally Kathleen McAdams has joined National Galleries of Scotland as an OD Consultant from Lloyds Banking Group.

IFFO is an international trade organisation representing and promoting the global marine ingredients industry. Petter Martin Johannessen has been appointed Director General and was formerly Global Business Director of Cargill Aqua Culture. Although he lives in Norway he will be based at IFFO’s London HQ.

Scotland’s leading independent grain merchant, WN Lindsay, has appointed Martin Purvis to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. He is formerly of both Wood Mackenzie and William Grant & Sons.

Business Growth Fund has appointed David Fraser, formerly of PwC, as an Investor based in Aberdeen.

MB Aerospace, the US private equity backed international precision engineering group, has appointed Ross Callum to the role of Corporate Finance Manager, based in Motherwell. Ross joins from PwC Transaction Services.

The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is a joint venture between the City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian. It is at the centre of the Scottish Government’s plans for the further integration of adult health and social care. Judith Proctor joins as Chief Executive from Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership where she was the Chief Officer.

NuCana plc is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on significantly improving survival outcomes for cancer patients. It has appointed Stuart Bell as Director of Finance and he joins from Diploma plc where he was Group Financial Controller.

Jim Freer has joined Campbell’s Prime Meat as Head of Purchasing. Jim joins from Devro having previously worked with Bluecrest Frozen Foods, Albert Fisher Group, Hazelwood Ready Meals and Scottish & Newcastle.

Conal Furie, formerly Innovations Director of Jardine Motors Group, has joined high-growth Startline Motor Finance as Head of IT and Digital.

Levenseat is a 2nd generation family recycling and resource management business based in Lanarkshire. Derek Walker has joined in the newly created role of Finance Director, having previously been with Redeem UK.

Dr Jörg Baumgartl joins medical technology company Optos as Engineering Manager – Data Services. Jörg was formerly with SeeByte and will help Optos’s engineering division deliver next generation ophthalmic imaging solutions.

Dan Nichols has joined Superglass Insulation as Regional Leader – USA. Previously, Dan held the role of Western Regional Sales Manager at Polyglass USA/Mapei. Superglass is a Scottish founded manufacturer of glass mineral wool insulation and is now part of the global TechnoNICOL Group.

Patrick Knapp has joined Witt O’Brien’s in Houston, a global leader in crisis and emergency management with unrivaled experience and knowledge of public safety, disaster mitigation, continuity of operations and emergency management issues, as Vice President – Response Operations. He has previously been in leadership roles with Direct Energy, Baker Hughes and American Red Cross.

In developments from previous appointments, Euan Campbell, the FD of Murray Capital, has been named as “Scottish Emerging FD of the Year” and David Ritchie, who joined as COO, is now CEO of CMS Window Systems. Congrats to both!

John Warrender, formerly of Addax Petroleum, is the new CEO of Decom North Sea, the leading membership body for the oil and gas decommissioning sector.

Michael O’Sullivan, formerly of Aker Solutions, is the new CEO of Aberdeen-based PDi. From regulatory approval to offshore execution, PDi has supported decommissioning projects for over 10 years.

Jeremy Lofts joins Cambridge-based Silicon Microgravity as CEO from Baker Hughes. It is focused on developing and applying innovative technology to improve surveillance, appraisal and production of oil and gas.

Applus, a worldwide leader in the testing, inspection and certification sector, has appointed Nick Henderson, formerly of Global Energy Group as its UK Country Manager.

Emirates Business Group (EBG), one of the leading holding companies in the UAE with over 18,000 employees across a broad spectrum of industries, has appointed Hassan Hamdan as CEO of its Libyan investment entity, Emirates Private Investment & Development LLC. EBG has also appointed Iain Hill as VP Projects of one of its group companies IMCC. It is one of Abu Dhabi’s largest fabrication yards providing construction and project management services to the international oil and gas sector.

KCA Deutag, one of the world’s leading drilling and engineering contractors, has appointed Euan Davidson as Head of Enterprise Applications. He joins from Subsea 7.

Marathon Oil has appointed Robert McKnight as Operations Accounting Supervisor based in Aberdeen. He joins from Spirit Energy.

Tri-Point brings together high-performing, complementary products and services with national-scale infrastructure, centered on oil and gas production and process equipment and services. In June 2018, Carla Haston was appointed as Regional Controller based in Houston. Previously, she held Senior positions at Cameron – a Schlumberger Company and Rextac LLC.

Superior Energy Services is an oilfield service company focused on serving the drilling, completion and production-related needs of oil and gas companies worldwide. John Srock has joined the leadership team of a subsidiary company, Pumpco Services, as Director of HSE, based in Houston. He was previously with C&J Energy Services and Nabors Industries.

Brigade Energy Services is a private equity backed and high growth company providing innovative Well Service Solutions and Workover Implementations in Denver, CO. Kristyn Martinez has been appointed as HR Director and previously worked for BJ Services and Baker Hughes as an HR Business Partner.
