FWB Park Brown Appointments

It has been a busy period for FWB Park Brown, both at home and abroad, and we are pleased to announce that we have advised on the following appointments…

David Harris, formerly Finance Director of British Polythene Industries plc has been appointed to the same role at Smart Metering Systems plc, the leading independent provider of multi-utility infrastructure connections and meter asset management solutions.

Gerry More is the new Managing Director (Central Scotland) for Stewart Milne Group. A very well-known name in the sector he spent a number of years at CALA, culminating in being Chairman of its Scottish Homes business.

The Edrington Group, owners of “The Famous Grouse”, “The Macallan” and “Highland Park” amongst others, has appointed Crawford Gillies as a Non Executive Director. Formerly MD, Europe for Bain & Co and Chairman of Scottish Enterprise, he is currently a Non Executive Director of Barclays plc and SSE plc.

Jumpstart is one of the UK’s leading R&D tax credit specialists and is backed by Business Growth Fund. Scott Henderson has been appointed as Managing Director and joins from RBS.

Sudhendu Kashikar has been appointed CEO at Reveal Energy Services, a private equity backed hydraulic fracture monitoring technology company based in Houston, Texas. He was previously VP of Engineering at MicroSeismic, Inc.

Havelock Europa the AIM listed interiors solutions specialist has appointed Donald Borland as CFO. He had previously spent a number of years with Miller culminating in being Finance Director of the Group.

The Student Loans Company has appointed John Evans as Executive Director of Corporate Services. John has previously been HRD of FirstGroup plc following a successful career with Diageo, RBS and Strathclyde Police.

David McMillan has joined the Board of Scottish Rugby as a Non Executive Director. He has had a very successful career at Aviva plc culminating in being CEO Europe and India and Chairman of its Global Healthcare business.

Maria McIlgorm has been appointed Chief Strategy and Performance Officer of The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, a key part of the Scottish Government’s plans for further integration of adult health and social care.

The major UK retail group, M&Co has appointed Gavin Urwin as Finance Director. He is formerly of William Grant & Sons and Aggreko plc.

In addition to six recent Senior appointments towards the end of last year, The City of Edinburgh Council has made a further four Executive Leadership appointments. Stephen Moir joins as Executive Director of Resources from his previous role of Chief People Officer for NHS England. Alistair Gaw has been promoted internally to the position of Executive Director of Communities and Families. Gareth Barwell and Michael Thain have also been promoted internally, to the roles of Head of Place Management and Head of Place Development respectively.

Business Stream, owned by Scottish Water, is a major business offering cost efficient water supply and waste water solutions to customers throughout the UK. Jim Spowart, former Founder and Chief Executive of Direct Line Financial Services, Standard Life Bank and Intelligence Finance has joined its Board as a Non Executive Director.

John Roots has been appointed Fundraising Director for the Ross Development Trust which is a new charity formed to raise funds to enable the delivery of multiple projects that will see a regeneration of West Princes Street Gardens. John has joined from the National Trust for Scotland where he was Head of Member & Customer Services.

Scottish Ballet has appointed the Director of Dutch National Ballet, Ted Brandsen as a Non Executive Director.

TWMA, a market leader in integrated drilling and environmental solutions to the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry have made the following appointments as part of their continued growth and expansion. Simon Tyldsley is the new Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), based in Abu Dhabi, and joins from QMAx, Keith Browning joins as Business Development Director for the MENA, based in Dubai from Halliburton where he was Regional Manager for the Middle East and North Africa and Laurent Le Mee is the new Global Account Manager based in Paris. Laurent joins following a successful career in Schlumberger, latterly as Sales and Marketing Manager for Europe and Africa.

Omniserv provides a range of critical customer services at Edinburgh Airport and has appointed Martin McGreskin as Airport Manager. He joins from Amazon where he was Head of Operations.

Enterprise Food Group, the high growth PE-backed supplier of supply chain management to the retail and food service sector has appointed Garry Clarke as Finance Director. Garry was previously Group Financial Controller of Clyde Blowers Capital, Finance Director of ClydeUnion Pumps and Financial Controller of Hewden PLC.

M² Subsea has appointed Stuart Bannerman as Chief Financial Officer, following a successful career with BW Offshore, Technip and KPMG.

Stuart Tozer has joined Specialist Aviation Services as Finance Director. This privately owned business provides helicopters and related support services to multiple markets including the air ambulance, police and renewable wind industries. The business operates internationally from its headquarters in Gloucester. Stuart was previously Finance Director of AirTanker.

Interwell, an oil and gas services company offering a wide range of solutions across the lifecycle of any oil and gas field, has made a number of senior appointments. Ben Gary joined in Louisiana as Business Development Consultant. Paul Anthony joined as Technical Sales and Support Engineer – Canada and both Nor Sharifah Omar and Dhiya Diniy Shukri have been appointed as Sales Engineers – Asia Pacific based in Malaysia.

RS Energy Group is a Warburg Pincus backed company providing forensic research, reliable data and powerful analytics to energy investors and E&P operators across North America. Jiafu Xu joins as Director Product Management in Houston.

Jim Cook joins Waste Connections as Leadership Development Director based in The Woodlands, Texas. Jim has a long history of leadership development roles across a variety of industries.

Founded in 1904, ACCA is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. Leigh Currie is its new Head of Global Customer Service and she joins from British Gas.

Rory Forrest has been appointed Finance Director of Signature Pub Group, the Edinburgh based owner and operator of an impressive portfolio of pubs, restaurants and hotels throughout Scotland. Rory trained with PwC and joins Signature from Farmfoods.

Kelvin KBB, the country’s leading manufacturer of high quality kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, has appointed Alan Rhodes as Commercial Director. Alan joins from Senvion having spent much of his earlier career in the legal sector.

Nucleus Financial, the wrap platform specialist has appointed Alan Brown, formerly of Tesco, as a Learning Business Partner.

Andrew Clucas who was until recently Group Decommissioning Manager for BG Group, joins Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) as Decommissioning Solution Centre Manager.

Steve Roberts has been appointed as Interim Manager for the Digital Solution Centre also at OGTC. Until 2014 he was BP’s Vice President for the Field of the Future Technology flagship programme, where he was accountable for setting and executing the strategic direction of BP’s R&D investments in Digital Oil Field technology across Upstream Functions
