Wood Group PLC has appointed Ray Schlaff to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, with responsibility for procurement strategies, processes and governance, and to drive efficiencies across the group’s global supply chain.  He joins from National Grid and was previously with GE and Dupont.

Macfarlane Group Chairman Graeme Bissett has joined Smart Metering Systems plc as a Non Executive Director and will also chair its Audit Committee. 

Stephen Hutt is the new FD of Green Highland Renewables, the run of river hydro scheme developer backed by London-based infrastructure fund Ancala Partners.  He joins following five years as Chief Executive of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland. 

Britain’s biggest bus manufacturer, Alexander Dennis, has appointed Harry Marshall as Commercial Director.  He joins after a successful career at Doosan.

PDG Helicopters is a UK market leading onshore helicopter company.  Following investment from Lloyds Development Capital, Neil Gauld has joined as CFO, having previously been with MOL Energy UK.

ONE (Opportunity North East) is a private sector led body focussed on ensuring a sustainable economic future for the north-east of Scotland, to be delivered through four sector boards.  Peter Cook will head up Food, Drink & Agriculture and Magnus Nicolson will do so for Life Sciences.

Adair Simpson has joined CMS Window Systems as Finance DirectorCMS is the market-leading specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of windows, doors and curtain walling systems and last week announced a deal which sees Lloyds Development Capital investing in the business.  He was previously VP of Finance for Lloyds Register Energy in Aberdeen.
 
Steven Stewart joins Kelvin KBB, the country’s leading manufacturer of quality kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms as Sales Director.  Stephen was previously Northern Regional Sales Manager for Nora Rubber Flooring Systems UK.  Andrew Meehan joins as Operations Director and was previously Site & Operations Director for Saint-Gobain Building Distribution and Sandra O’Connor, formerly of Aegon has also joined and she will head up HR within the business. 

Iain Thain is the new Financial Director of Elgin-based Gleaner, a leading provider of fuels for domestic, agricultural, commercial, marine and offshore customers, supplied from a network of depots throughout Scotland.  He joins from Highlands & Islands Airports.

KCA Deutag, one of the world’s leading drilling and engineering contractors has appointed Gayle Hill as Group Head of HR Operations and Alison Casselton as HR Business Partner.  They were previously with Scottish Power and Johnston Press respectively.

Student Loans Company has appointed Bernice McNaught as its new Programme Director and Alastair Rennie as Chief Technology Officer.  Both appointments are significant elements of the wider transformational change programme underway across technology within SLC, based in Glasgow.

Willie Reid joins Strathclyde University’s Oil and Gas Institute as Director.  He has been Chairman of North of Scotland KTP for last 6 years and a current member and past Chairman of Aurora Private Equity.  Previously Willie was co-founder, investor and CEO of Gas2 Ltd a Micro GTL (gas to liquids) technology company.

Stuart Murray joins iSurvey, the leading provider of survey and positioning services to the global oil and gas, telecoms and renewable energy sectors as Business Development ManagerHe was previously with Bibby Offshore where he was Subsea Business Manager. 

Adrian Bannister has been appointed Finance Director of Ardyne Technologies, a newly created oilfield services company backed by Limerock Partners that seeks to develop and employ new technologies to increase operator efficiency and lower costs in the field of well abandonment.  He was previously Finance Director at OEG Offshore and has an extensive and successful track record of growing oilfield services businesses.  Barbara Lloyd had been appointed as the Interim Finance Director whilst the appointment of Adrian was finalised.  Paul Warwick has also been appointed a Non Executive Director.  Previously a Senior VP of Talisman Sinopec, he is also a Supervisory Board member of Naftogaz, the Ukranian state-run oil company.

Iain Reid joins Sunergos Innovations (previously Edinburgh BioQuarter) as Chief Financial Officer.  Sunergos works in partnership with universities and is a commercialisation catalyst that aims to transform innovative and disruptive research into real returns for entrepreneurs and partners.  He was previously FD of National Trust for Scotland and Newell & Budge.

Richard Shirley has joined the London-based, international support services business Safetykleen Europe, backed by Warburg Pincus private equity.  He joins as Group Projects Director having previously been the Project Director for the new baggage handling system at Changi Airport in Singapore, on behalf of Vanderlande Industries. 

James Heuerman-Williamson has joined Rangeford Holdings, the UK-wide developer of high-end retirement villages which is backed by Octopus Investments, as Finance Director.  London-based James joins from being Finance Director of the London Region for Crest Nicholson PLC, the major housing developer. 

Steve Duck has joined Astonbrook Care, the UK-wide care home business also backed by Octopus Investments, as Finance Director.  Sheffield-based Steve joins from Sadeh Lok Housing Group, having previously spent 13 years in the nursing and residential care sector as Finance Director of Amocura Group.

Lomond Capital, the asset management business and consolidator of regional Lettings and Estate Agents has appointed Hazel McIntyre as FD.  She was previously Finance Director of Green Highland Renewables and M&A Director at Giles Insurance Brokers.

Ian Easton joins William Grant & Sons, owners of famous brands such as Glenfiddich and Hendrick’s Gin as Packaging & Supply Chain Finance Leader.  He was most recently Head of Finance & Service Operations at Clydesdale Bank.

Susan Munro is to join Deloitte as a Senior Manager in their audit division based in Aberdeen.  She joins from First Oil where she was Financial Controller following an eight year period as a Financial Controller with Baxters Food Group. 

Benoit Desmet starts his new role as Accounting Director for Continental Europe with CommScope, based in Kessel-Lo, Belgium.  Benoit joins CommScope, a NASDAQ listed global communications business, from AB In-Bev, also in Belgium.

Louise Andrews is the new General Manager of Dundas Castle, one of Scotland’s most beautiful and historic castles and one of the top 5 Star Exclusive Use venues in the UK – she joins from Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

Billy MacMillan has joined second generation family business, The NWH Group, as Finance Director. NWH provide a range of services across construction and waste and are based in Dalkeith.
