On the 9th May, in partnership with Apollo Engineering, FWB Park Brown hosted a group of 50 industry leaders to an event entitled “New Kids on the Blocks” to discuss how to make the North Sea both competitive and sustainable through new operating models. The evening’s discussion was led by Dr. Andy Samuel, Chief Executive of the OGA and Ning Zhang, CEO at Ping Petroleum who both provided an overview of their thoughts on the future of the North Sea and suggested key principles for future commercial, technical and operational innovations.
Following dinner, Stuart Cochrane from FWB Park Brown facilitated a lively and interactive discussion highlighting existing innovations in the North Sea, hurdles to be overcome to further progress and lessons learnt from past. Stuart commented “it is a privilege to discuss these important issues with some of the most prominent and influential leaders in the oil & gas industry and we were delighted with how open and constructive the discussions were. Feedback has been very positive and we look forward to the next discussion dinner”.
