Accounting Director

Our client is Bristow Helicopters Ltd, the leading provider of aviation services to the European offshore energy industry.

The company’s global operations are organized into four regions. These are Africa, the Americas, the Europe Caspian region and Asia Pacific; with major helicopter transportation operations in the North Sea, Nigeria and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, and in most of the other major offshore oil and gas producing regions of the world including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Russia and Trinidad.

With recent acquisitions of premium regional air carriers, the company provides point-to-point scheduled and charter transportation services, combining fixed-wing with rotary-wing services to clients around the world. Our client has served the offshore oil transport industry in major exploration and production arenas for 60 years and has been responsible for many industry-leading technological innovations.

Our client now seeks an experienced and fully qualified accountant for the role of Accounting Director for the Europe Caspian region, based out of the company’s European headquarters in Dyce, Aberdeen.  The Accounting Director will be a key member of the global accounting and tax team as well as being on the Europe Caspian regional leadership team.

The role provides management and leadership for the accounting teams in the various European operations as well as oversight of statutory accounting, compliance and reporting for all Europe-based legal entities.  The Accounting Director will be primarily responsible for all accounting and reporting (both statutory and management), internal controls and treasury activities within Europe. Responsibilities will also include statutory level budgeting, project costing and management level analysis of results.
