Kelvin KBB (www.kelvinkbb.com), established in 1986, is Scotland’s leading manufacturer of high quality Kitchens, Bathrooms and Bedrooms and supplies B2B, directly to the largest house builders and developers throughout the country. The Head Office and factory are based in Cumbernauld, near Glasgow, with an additional showroom recently opened near Stansted. Kelvin employs over 200 people with a turnover in the region £16m.

The business has maintained a growth rate in excess of 15% for the last 3 years and this level of growth is planned to continue, as the demand for new homes in the UK grows. There is a clear and ambitious strategy in place to substantially increase turnover through a combination of growing existing Scottish operations and actively growing market share across the UK. The recent major investment in operational systems, manufacturing plant and people accurately reflects the ambition of the business and the commercial opportunity that lies ahead. This will be a very exciting time to join the company.

We are looking to appoint an extremely high calibre Sales Director to work closely with the existing commercial team and to drive the business through its next phase of growth. The Sales Director will report to the Managing Director and will have responsibility for managing a regionally based sales team, establishing and delivering against goals and objectives in line with the company’s strategic goals.  We are looking for a proven track record of commercial acumen and new business sales success as well as strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Candidates are likely to have at least 10 years Sales Management experience in a relevant specification or manufacturing sector, preferably with a technical background.  We are also looking for excellent financial acumen and so previous P&L, business planning and financial control responsibility would be beneficial.
