Essential Edinburgh was established to run Edinburgh’s Business Improvement District; a defined area where businesses vote to invest collectively in local improvements, in addition to those provided by the Local Authority and Police. Following a very successful recent ballot of businesses the company has a renewed mandate to provide a powerful voice for business, campaign for change, deliver real improvements and overcome challenges. Essential Edinburgh is fully committed to maximising the potential of Edinburgh’s City Centre.
A new Chief Executive is now sought to succeed Andy Neal and build upon the achievements of both him and his team. Accordingly we are looking for a highly talented leader who can develop existing, as well as establish new relationships, and continue the strong track record of delivery. Passion for what the company does together with leadership, drive, commitment, creativity and energy, allied to a focus on getting results are ‘essential’! While it is anticipated that suitable candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds there is clearly a requirement for proven leadership skills, together with a strong career track record showing demonstrable achievements and evidence of working in partnership and in collaboration.
