This opportunity has now been filled

Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Primal Strength is one of the UK’s fastest growing strength and fitness equipment companies. Established in 2016, the company develops and markets a range of products that are sold through both B2B and B2C channels. Primal has created a distinctive brand and strong market position driven by customer service, quality and innovation.

Following a recent strategic private equity investment from Flywheel Partners, Primal is expected to continue to grow significantly and capture further market share. Given the recent investment and forecast growth, Primal is now looking to recruit a CFO to support the Managing Director and Board of the company. The CFO will be based at the Primal Head office in Glasgow.

About the person

Primal’s success to date has been based on a culture of excellence, exceptional customer service and delivery.  This is an environment where the CFO will need to be flexible and support all areas of the business.

The successful candidate will be a driven and hardworking qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a very strong technical background, excellent communication skills and high business and commercial acumen. A positive can-do attitude is a must. In addition, diligence, attention to detail and tenacity are key attributes for a successful candidate. Given the nature of the business, prior experience of working with inventory and inventory systems is important. Primal is proud of its incredibly high levels of customer service and delivery; this role will play a significant part in maintaining this ethos. We are not necessarily looking for an “athletic” CFO but an interest in the health and wellness sector would be an advantage.
