This is a critically important, strategic role within the business and will assume overall accountability for leading Beam’s Irish Operation across 2 key sites in Cooley (County Louth), which is a vertically integrated site with Grain and Malt Distillation, maturation warehousing, spirit processing and bottling, as well as a smaller site in Kilbeggan (County Westmeath) which houses a smaller distillery and hand-filled bottling capability. 

Reporting to the General Manager UK & Ireland, this role has responsibility for leading the Operational delivery of Beam’s Irish portfolio, and will work closely with NPD, Central Supply Chain, Procurement and individual Brandhouses to develop and execute medium-term plans for Irish Operations ensuring a safety-first culture that strives to produce exceptional quality products, world-class services levels through the fostering of a high-performance culture. 

You will also play a role in contributing to broader business unit Operational initiatives which will help shape the future direction of Production for the business. 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations/Production Leader with experience of driving standards and improvements with regards to overall manufacturing development in a high-volume or high-value production environment. You will bring experience of driving operational efficiencies and continual improvement and be able to demonstrate world class execution of this in a relevant business. 

You will have a passion for people development and an understanding of how to create and nurture high performing teams in a complex business structure. 

We are ideally seeking someone with experience in Distilling, Brewing or Chemical Engineering with a strong commercial mindset and degree of financial acumen. 

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in a science, engineering or related discipline and have a working knowledge of relevant lean manufacturing methodologies such as Lean (preferably TRACC), TPM or 6Sigma.
