Finance Director

ECS Security Ltd was founded in 2012 and forms the security division of the ECS Group (founded 2008) which provides IT consultancy and services across the UK. The Security division delivers security consultancy and managed services, and is also a key delivery partner for market leading products such as Splunk. Customers are typically FTSE 100 or 250 in scale and include large banks, challenger banks, leading financial institutions, and commercial enterprises who require support to protect their business services and data.

The security business has grown extremely rapidly, from a turnover of £1m in 2012 with 10 employees to a projected £25m turnover and over 150 employees by the end of 2017. The business is profitable and is in a very good financial position to support future growth from a mix of revenue streams. The strategy for ECS Security is to continue growing rapidly.

Due to the growth and increase in scale and complexity ECS Security is seeking to appoint its first Finance Director. The FD will play a key role in driving the direction of the business away from projects towards annuity business; changing customers from one off to long term. They will carry out a highly commercial role, often in a client facing capacity when negotiating long term contracts and supporting the commercial side of the business with financial modelling on deals. Crucially, the FD will be able to take a lead role on modelling investment, helping the leadership team navigate a business environment of very high opportunity levels and deciding where to invest resource to enable sustainable and rapid growth.
