Overview of the Role:

Renaissance Care are looking to appoint a new Finance Director. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team, reporting to the Managing Director, Louise Barnett. You will have a broad, financial and strategic role in the overall management of the company, helping Renaissance Care to optimise current operations and plan for future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Embedding best practice and innovative thinking to ensure that finance systems and processes are optimised to deliver an effective and efficient service
  • Leading, developing and inspiring the Finance team with overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, management information and the sound financial management of the business
  • Ensuring a clear financial and commercial strategy that optimises best use of resources and a sustainable business model

The Person:

The Finance Director will be a qualified accountant, with excellent financial and commercial acumen and a clear track record of his or her contribution to growing a business. The ability to balance detail and ‘hands on’ ownership of the numbers with high level strategic input, business planning and value creation will be important attributes to have. The FD will be expected to drive further professionalising of the infrastructure of the business, provide leadership to the Finance functions and add value across all areas of the business.

We are open-minded on background and would welcome applications from candidates with a wide variety of sector experience. Some Corporate Finance/M&A experience, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, will also be valuable. The role is based at Head Office in Musselburgh and Renaissance Care supports flexible/hybrid working arrangements wherever possible.
