Novosound specialises in the design and manufacture of innovative ultrasound sensors, using a groundbreaking, patented thin-film technology to address the limitations of traditional ultrasound techniques. This includes products and customisable solutions for emerging applications in industrial, medical and wearable markets. Novosound has worked with some of the world’s leading brands across these sectors, helping customers develop solutions to solve their ultrasonic imaging and measurement challenges.

Established in 2018, Novosound was the first spin-out company from the University of the West of Scotland. In just four years, Novosound has rapidly revolutionised ultrasound technology, which has largely remained unchanged for 40 years. Since inception, the company has raised £9M+ across three private equity rounds and grown from 6 to over 30 team members.

Novosound is rapidly scaling and given the recent investment and forecast growth, the business seeks to appoint a full-time Finance Director. The appointee will play an integral role in supporting Novosound in delivering on its strategic aims and will be responsible for end to end finance, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly accounting, tax related matters as well as leading and developing the finance function. The individual we seek will be a proactive, hands-on individual who can be a strong commercial partner to the CEO and the Leadership Team and a business enabler, attuned to the challenges associated with working in a private-equity backed, high-growth environment.
