The NWH Group, the family owned haulage company formed in 1967, has grown and diversified to provide a range of services across Construction and Waste Management. These include waste services, concrete and aggregate supplies, skip hire, plant hire, road sweeping and gritting services. It employs over 220 people with turnover approaching £25m.
NWH are looking to appoint an outstanding Finance Director to support the Managing Director, Mark Williams and add value across a broad range of areas. The Finance Director will be based at the Head Office in Dalkeith and become a key member of the Senior Management Team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate instinct and interest values that are aligned with the business. They must bring technical excellence and leadership to the Finance function and will be required to successfully execute strategic and operational initiatives.
The group is expanding. The Finance Director will be the key right hand person to the Managing Director as the business continues to grow and will offer high quality commercial and financial insight that helps enable great decisions to be made.
Industry experience across Construction, Waste Management and Haulage is preferred but not essential. Potential candidates must, however, understand the dynamics of how a family business operates and be able to demonstrate similar levels of drive, enthusiasm and commitment. Recent acquisitions, a clear strategy and vision combined with strong leadership and an appetite to grow the business further makes this an extremely exciting time to join the group.
