Verlume (formerly EC-OG) has been delivering energy transition projects since 2013. The business uses its core intelligent energy management and storage technologies to enable clean, resilient and integrated energy systems in a range of sectors including underwater, offshore and onshore. Energy storage is a cornerstone technology for low carbon systems and Verlume’s ground-breaking technologies place the business at the forefront of energy transition.

The company’s flagship Halo product is a scalable, modular battery energy storage system with integrated intelligent energy management, specifically developed for clean energy delivery in the demanding underwater environment. Having successfully delivered the first commercial Halo system for a world-first autonomous offshore power sea trial in Hawaii, Verlume is poised for a rapid period of growth.

In line with the ambitious growth plans of the business, Verlume seeks to appoint a Commercial Director to lead is continued scale-up and growth. The individual will be an integral part of the Verlume leadership team, forming and developing the commercialisation strategy for each target sector, driving sales activity and coordinating all commercial and tendering activity across the business. The Commercial Director will be a strategically-minded, hands-on leader who can develop a strong commercial and sales function, ensuring there are robust processes in place to support future growth.

The candidate we seek will possess a strong network within the renewables  sector coupled with the gravitas and credibility required to lead and develop Verlume’s commercialisation strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of the business and cement Verlume’s position as a clean technology leader.
