Group QHSE Manager

About the role

Founded in 1985, Ashtead Technology is a market leader in subsea technology and services to the offshore energy sector across three service lines being asset integrity, mechanical solutions and survey and robotics.  Supporting clients in activities such as subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) and decommissioning of offshore energy infrastructure the business is increasingly focused on offshore renewables and decommissioning.

In 2016, the business received significant investment from Buckthorn Partners and Arab Petroleum Investment Corporation (APICORP), enabling them to exploit growth opportunities within both its core business and also expand into new markets and service offerings. Since 2017, Ashtead Technology has completed five acquisitions, strengthening their capability and global reach. The organisation operates from 9 facilities across the UK, Middle East, Asia Pacific, US & Canada.

On the back of this significant growth as well as the expansion in service delivery in offshore environments, Ashtead Technology seeks to appoint a Group QHSE Manager, responsible for providing global leadership of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards for the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Group QHSE Manager will be instrumental in devising and implementing the QHSE strategy globally in this newly created role.

The appointee will create and drive a cultural shift across the organisation developing and implementing QHSE strategy & campaigns, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements across the Group. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and influencing skills, working closely with personnel to win ‘hearts and minds’, ensuring a proactive shift to developing an industry leading QHSE function.
