Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a prominent role at Plc (based in Glasgow but with domestic and international travel) where the incumbent would be expected to build strong working relationships throughout the group, and offers great exposure to the CFO and CEO.
Part of the job (@ 40%) is pre-set, leading on the annual business planning cycle, managing the Group capital expenditure process and maximising the use of the company’s business intelligence system to provide insight into the performance of the business. There will also be some responsibilities in financial reporting around PLC month end reviews of regional results.
The remainder of the position is less predictable and will be involved in a wide range of business development activities, including leading on acquisition valuations, managing acquisition process and co-ordinating external advisors. It will also provide analytical insight into a broad range of financial and commercial issues, often at the request of the CFO and CEO.
Candidates will be chartered accountants with relevant PQE. Some transaction experience would also be beneficial. What is key however is that we have a combination of analytical, strategic communication and detailed working skills – and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
This position has been proven to be an excellent entry point for further development and experience within a truly exceptional business.
