Scotland’s award-winning national dance company is seeking a Head Of People & Wellbeing

 Permanent Contract (Part Time by negotiation – 3 to 4 days)

Scottish Ballet is seeking a talented, highly motivated professional to lead HR and implement a company-wide wellbeing programme.

The Head of People and Wellbeing is a member of the Leadership Team; providing strategic direction on the full lifecycle of HR, including union negotiations, developing strategy to ensure wellbeing priorities and outcomes are met, and advising the executive and Board on people management and policy.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, Scottish Ballet continues to build an impressive reputation on a strong commissioning and ambitious touring programme as well as being listed as a Sunday Times Top 100 employer. The Company tours annually to premier theatres across Scotland and the UK, including Sadler’s Wells, and internationally throughout Asia and North America. Invitations to feature at the Edinburgh International Festival, and other major festivals, such as Spoleto, are included in the Company’s exciting stage opportunities.

If you are a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, and would value a challenging role within a national arts company, then we would be delighted to receive your application, which should include:

  • A letter outlining your interest in being considered for the position – why you believe your skills and knowledge and experience are relevant to the role (as defined in the ‘Key Accountabilities’) and how you will add value to Scottish Ballet;
  • A copy of your curriculum vitae;
  • The names and contact details of at least two professional referees (these will only be contacted should you be offered the position);
  • Your salary expectation. A competitive salary package will be negotiated.

For further details please download the full role specification.
