Strategy & Growth Manager

About the role

Ithaca Energy is a leading independent oil and gas company with production, development and exploration operations in the UK North Sea, headquartered in Aberdeen. The Company was founded in 2004 and has grown through a combination of acquisitions and new field developments. Ithaca has a high quality, diverse portfolio of assets located in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf consisting of seven operated assets and a working interest in 11 non-operated assets, producing approximately 70,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

In 2019, Ithaca successfully concluded the acquisition of Chevron’s North Sea assets, making them one of the largest independent energy companies in the UKCS. Moving forward, the organisation harbours ambitions to grow and develop their asset base further. The organisation intends to embark on an extensive growth strategy to further enhance their UKCS presence.

As a result, Ithaca seeks to appoint a Strategy & Growth Manager. Reporting to the Chair and CEO, the Strategy & Growth Manager will act as the key support and confidant of the Chair and CEO, assisting with a wide range of activities including strategic planning; organisational planning; M&A support; external stakeholder management and; project management of various special initiatives.

Longer term, the Strategy & Growth Manager will play a pivotal role in preparation for an IPO and further fund raising activities. The appointee will be responsible for overseeing and directing a broad range of strategic projects including the development, coordination and implementation of operational and strategic plans and policies to help ensure organisational effectiveness and attainment of key goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, driven individual to join a growing and dynamic energy company. The successful appointee will be degree qualified, with a background in corporate development / corporate finance from a Professional Services or Industrial environment. This is a role for a tenacious, results-orientated individual who can support Ithaca through an exciting phase of growth and development.
