About the role

Edrington’s vision is to give more by crafting exceptional ultra-premium spirit brands. The Macallan is our central focus, supported by Highland Park and The Glenrothes in the fast-growing single malt category and Naked Malt in the blended malt category. Our portfolio is completed with The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky, Brugal premium rum from the Dominican Republic and Noble Oak American Whiskey. Edrington also has strategic partnerships for No.3 London Dry Gin, Wyoming Whiskey and Tequila Partida.

Edrington is headquartered in Scotland and employs over 3,500 people in its wholly owned and joint venture companies, with over 70% employed overseas. We own our route to market in 15 countries and distribute our brands to more than 100 countries around the world through joint ventures and third-party agreements.

This role leads the global talent and capability agenda in its entirety. This includes global resourcing and UK recruitment, talent & succession planning, performance management, employee engagement and learning and capability.

The role will also lead Edrington’s strategic effort to build the skills and capabilities needed to achieve our strategy by collaborating with the business to identify gaps and requirements and delivering skill building programmes against these.

The role will devise innovative sourcing and talent management strategies to deliver against our aim to have better talent than the competition and to build our employer brand globally in a competitive marketplace.

The incumbent will lead our efforts in measuring employee engagement and will be accountable for ensuring that high impact initiatives are appropriately communicated and implemented to achieve a high performing and engaged workforce.

The role is expected to be a key influencer on the HR Leadership Team and instrumental in developing and implementing the global people strategy and agenda.
