This is a newly created Marketing & Communications Manager role at Loch Duart. The successful candidate will head up the marketing at a time of exciting change and growth. Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, the role assumes responsibility for the marketing function and the brand’s development.
This is Loch Duart’s 21st year as a leading, global, seafood trade brand. The company recently acquired a processing factory to facilitate ambitious and exciting developments in more packaged and branded sales in coming years. The basic building blocks of strong farming performance, excellent brand recognition and solid financial status are already in place.
With the key objectives of driving brand value and positioning and ensuring all customer ‘touchpoints’ in their relationship with Loch Duart are enhanced and enriched, the Marketing & Communications Manager will play a key part, along with senior management, in the implementation of a focussed marketing strategy for growth in both scale and profitability.
Key aspects of the role will centre around the following:
- The development of a global brand and marketing strategy to support a premium, high value farmed salmon product
- Management and development of the company PR, Communications (Internal and External) and Social Media strategies
- Proactivity in supporting premium customer sales and marketing development activity
- The management of all marketing agency engagement and internal capability development
- Leadership and management of all crisis and business emergency PR & media engagement
- Collaboration with the sales function in each market to develop fit for purpose marketing campaigns
Candidates are likely to have experience in a senior marketing role, either in house or with an agency servicing a related industry i.e. FMCG, livestock/agriculture, dairy, whisky in a company which is “brand led”. They should have experience of developing PR and communications strategies and experience of running and leading large-scale marketing campaigns.
They will possess the ability to understand the unique selling points of the business, its brand and the industry and relate this to commercial objectives.
The Marketing & Communications Manager will be integral in implementing and driving growth strategy for Loch Duart and consequently this position offers an outstanding opportunity for the right person at a time of significant opportunity for the organisation.
