Edinburgh Airport is a multi-award winning business. It is Scotland’s busiest airport and the 3rd busiest in the UK with more than 40 airlines serving over 100 destinations. c11m passengers will travel through the airport in 2015.
The airport operated in an Operational Regulatory framework covering Security, H&S and Aviation legislation and compliance. It is key that the Airport is able to operate within these regulations and deliver Compliance, World Class Service and an efficient operation.
The role requires a collaborative approach to working with senior stakeholders and partner organisations to deliver business objectives. In this role you will be the primary interface with the DfT, CAA, Police, UKBF and other local agencies and represent the business. You will develop the Security regulations Programme and work across the Operations team to ensure Compliance, Service & Efficient Operation.
You will manage and control active governance and lead the reporting and planning of key and sensitive information on which the business will base decisions. You will lead the Airport Control Centre (ACC) to deliver an effective and efficient service, particularly in time of disruption.
Key Accountabilities:
To lead the compliance team and ensure EAL has a World Class Security Regulations programme that covers audit, planning, training and continuous improvement for EAL operations & third parties. To ensure that we are compliant with the NASP and have all relevant documents, procedures and policies in place.
Lead EALs relationship with stakeholders & government agencies, ensuring the airport remains compliant and able to service any changes in legislation or directives.
Lead and grow EDI’s core capability to disruption response through the Operational Teams and ACC
Adopt and bring a continuous improvement mind-set and discipline, positively influencing all stakeholders to joint beneficial outcomes.
In partnership with key stakeholder, lead specified forums & conduct regular reviews and testing of provisions supported by gap analysis. Disseminate learning & drive actions to deliver and embed a continuous improvement mind set approach.
To manage the P&L for the ID Unit & Services and ensuring supply SLAs are delivered.
Qualifications and experience:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent or suitable technical qualifications
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Management & strong leadership skills
• Effectively drives changes and operational improvement
• Clean & Current driving licence
• Strong commercial acumen supporting good business skills
