Crisis and Emergency Management / Disaster Recovery
Houston, Texas
Our client is a global leader in crisis and emergency management with unrivalled experience and knowledge of public safety, disaster mitigation, continuity of operations, and emergency management issues. They offer a full range of services to better prepare organizations before disaster strikes and also to support them to recover more quickly. They have the capabilities to tackle any assignment, from food supply security to infrastructure protection and back up to natural disaster response. With world-class subject matter experts, they are also uniquely adept at building necessary coalitions that link government agencies, first responders, and business communities. They help their clients to Prepare, Respond, Communicate, Recover and to control the outcome.
This is a new role within a rapidly growing organization. Its core focus is on optimizing functional support for complex client projects in often challenging circumstances, such as large-scale disaster recovery and emergency response operations.
Projects requiring immediate support include government contracts for post-disaster consulting, staff augmentation and project management services. These contracts include both self-performance and subcontracted arrangements. However, this role will also be expected to support complex program requirements in our private sector business. The Program Manager must be able to define and execute requirements for complex field deployments under short deadlines.
The role will require travel, including deployment to the field to experience client requirements and operating conditions first hand. Suitable candidates must be able to perform under pressure in a highly professional and effective manner and have strong team-building and communication skills. This role will also be expected to support the COO with strategic level planning and identifying future opportunities to support the development of the portfolio.
