Bruce Douglas Marketing are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Director, to be based in Scotland and report to the Managing Director, with some travel to meet with customers across the UK and Europe.
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving sales and revenue, managing key accounts, new business development, marketing strategies and initiatives, enhancing existing customer relationships and growing market share. The successful candidate will also be accountable for introducing new product lines, pricing, commercial negotiations and oversight of several operational aspects of the business. These include quality assurance, purchasing, stock management and the development and adoption of a new CRM system.
The Sales Director will also be expected to provide strong leadership to and development of the Sales team and more generally across the wider business. This role will require an extremely high calibre and commercial individual with a strong track record in sales and relationship management. While the products and market can be learnt, existing experience, contacts and relationships in the industry (particularly selling similar products to retail and builders’ merchants) are strongly preferred.
