Leviton Manufacturing UK Limited is part of the Leviton Network Solutions business unit, which delivers a customer-focused single-source global manufacturer of innovative end-to-end cabling systems. At the Leviton Network Solutions Europe headquarters in Scotland, innovative copper and fibre- optic cabling solutions are manufactured, including custom pre-terminated options. 

The business is dedicated to conserving resources and preserving the environment, and the Scotland facility is the world’s first network infrastructure supplier to achieve carbon neutral status in accordance with PAS 2060. It also produces high-performance specialty cabling for extreme environments in its English factory, supporting military, rail, automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications. 

The Opportunity 

Reporting to the divisional Engineering Director, a new Senior Engineering Manager is now sought to join the UK business to lead all produce development engineering activity. 

The individual will play a key leadership role in the Engineering function, with potential for the role to expand over time. 

This is a key leadership position within Leviton Network Solutions UK and requires a combination of inspirational leadership skills, a strong technical engineering mindset and broad business acumen.  

The individual will drive the design and development of cable products and manage Leviton Network Solutions UK development engineering teams. 

Candidate Requirements 

First and foremost, the successful candidate will bring strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire and motivate not only their direct reports but those around them, contributing to the ongoing development of a best-in-class culture and operating environment. 

They will bring a track record of development success and be able to evidence improving people and product in equal measure. 

The successful candidate will also have; 

  • A relevant mechanical, electrical or systems engineering Degree as minimum 
  • Experience in an engineering management role related to R&D or engineering services within a relevant sector  
  • Experience of operating in a matrix organisation and an understanding of organisational design and change management
