TotalEnergies is a global multi-energy company that produces and markets energies: oil and biofuels, natural gas and green gases, renewables and electricity. Their 100,000 employees are committed to energy that is more affordable, cleaner, more reliable and accessible to as many people as possible. Active in more than 130 countries, TotalEnergies’ aim is to become the responsible energy major, signified by their ambition to reach Net zero by 2050.

TotalEnergies’ operations in the UK span the entire oil and gas value chain. Responsible hydrocarbon production will continue to be central to their activities in the coming decades whilst the business navigates the energy transition and reduce their carbon footprint. The company is developing a wide range of energies in an integrated approach (from production to retailing) in order to decarbonize its energy offering and generate a competitive advantage that will create long-term value for its shareholders and secure its future.

The Tax Team provides a service to TEPUK and other TotalEnergies companies both within the scope of One Country, One TotalEnergies and to the group generally. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this individual will be a key contributor to the tax department’s goal of delivering strong tax advisory and compliance services on a range of tax issues.

The role is responsible for providing tax technical advice primarily to the UK business unit, including advice on acquisition/disposal of Upstream assets. Responsibilities also include tax accounting and compliance including submission of upstream corporation tax and PRT returns, reviewing and providing input to the tax calculation in the financial statements. The individual we seek will possess excellent technical knowledge of UK corporation tax, preferably including ring fence issues, sound knowledge of UK company law and international accounting standards, as well as relevant tax experience and professional qualification.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, driven individual to forge a rewarding career with a leading and dynamic energy company.
