Stuart Cochrane, a Director of FWB Park Brown, was recently invited to present the inaugural FWB Park Brown ‘Leadership Insights’ lecture as part of the Robert Gordons University – Aberdeen Business School leadership week. Presenting to an audience of current and past MBA students, and invited guests, Stuart led an interactive 2hr session focussed on leadership development titled ‘The Identikit Leader’.
Other invited speakers presenting during the week included Sir Ian Wood, Lord Digby Jones, Alan Brown CEO of ASCO, Robin Watson COO Wood Group, and Malcolm Webb Chief Executive of Oil & Gas UK.
Combining lecturing, group exercises, and subject debates, Stuart led the group through a journey of defining what leadership is, identifying key leadership traits, and exercises in developing leadership skills. Finally, the participants were given an outline leadership development plan that facilitates further thinking on the subject, with the opportunity to receive feedback from Stuart.
This was the 9th annual leadership week organised by Aberdeen Business School and also celebrated the 50 year anniversary of the Aberdeen Business School. The week culminated in a gala dinner with the keynote address provided by Gordon Ballard Chairman of Schlumberger UK.
