MB Aerospace Newton Abbot is one of the largest businesses in the Blackstone PE backed international aerospace engineering group, MB Aerospace. The Newton Abbot business, formerly Centrax Turbine Components, is a world class manufacturer and supplier of critical rotating and static components for Aerospace, Defence and Industrial application gas turbine engines. The business turns over in excess of $60m and employs almost 500 people. MB Aerospace Newton Abbot is looking to appoint a Finance Director, to be based in Newton Abbot, near Exeter.

Significant investment in the business, coupled with the need for increased breadth and depth of management information, analysis and reporting, has created the opportunity for an outstanding Finance Director to join the group. Prior manufacturing experience is a pre-requisite.

Purpose of the role:

• To ensure the effective financial management and reporting for MB Aerospace Newton Abbot and actively contribute to the financial planning and strategic growth of the organisation as a key member of the Senior Management Team.
• To lead and oversee the day to day activities of the finance team and ensure the company’s finance function is organised, efficient, producing accurate and timely financial and management information, as well as compliance with all relevant financial reporting and tax legislation.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures in accordance with statutory regulation and generally accepted accountancy practice, in order to safeguard the assets and financial interests of the company.
• Help facilitate the enhancement of value in all areas of the business by managing and optimising operational and production costs, and implementing effective and robust financial strategies.
