Dinner with James Jacoby, Director of Engineering at Spotify

Together with our friends at Coutts and NatWest, Adam Brown and Becky Little of FWB Park Brown recently hosted a roundtable dinner in Edinburgh with 20 leaders and investors of Scottish headquartered scale up businesses. James Jacoby, Director of Engineering at Spotify, overseeing the engineering team for Audiobooks, was our speaker. Prior to joining Spotify, James led the services and live operations teams at Bungie for the first time in the Destiny franchise, having spent nearly 10 years at Microsoft working on Xbox Live.

James provided insight from his experiences working at the forefront of the global games and content industries, including the rapid changes that are currently taking place, his experiences of taking on the market leaders, managing diverse international teams and choosing to live in Scotland. Following James’ hugely insightful and current presentation, we enjoyed a lively round table discussion.
