Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) has started the search for a new chief executive after long-standing boss Owen Kelly decided to step down.
The Edinburgh-based trade organisation has engaged FWB Park Brown to help with the appointment process, which is expected to take between six and eight months.
Kelly, a former government official who has held the post since January 2008, will remain until his successor has been appointed, said SFE chairman Sir Ewan Brown.
Sir Ewan added: “As the longest-ever serving chief executive of SFE, he has brought tremendous insight and knowledge of the workings of governments, politics and the wider public sector.”
