We were delighted to welcome George Elliott, Chair of many technology companies in Scotland and former CFO of Wolfson Microelectronics plc, as our guest speaker on Session 2 of The Non-Executive Director Programme. George led us through the role of a Non-Executive Director in scaling companies successfully from start-up to exit, and the participants enjoyed lively interactive discussions on various real case studies ensuring practical advice and insight for future challenges.

Session 3, on 10th October will focus on the Data Revolution.

We hear all the time that technological innovations including DDI and AI will revolutionise business activity across every sector creating a need for NXDs to bring much needed business acumen to help achieve successful growth. Indeed, with the City Deal intended to be the catalyst for 400 new companies over the next 10 years, there will be a great need for NXDs who can help support these companies. So we are excited to have Dr Michael Rovatsos from The Bayes Centre and technology NXD guru Ian Ritchie, de-mystify the Data Revolution landscape and discuss how NXDs can take advantage of the opportunities the revolution presents. As usual we will have case studies focusing on real companies in these areas, and working in small groups delegates can learn first-hand the practical requirements of how to be a successful Chair or NXD able to drive fast sustainable growth in this complex, challenging and fast developing sector.

Spaces are limited so please register soon if you would like to join us.
