The newly established Data-Driven Innovation Programme Delivery Office is recruiting a Programme Director who will have responsibility for all aspects of the Programme, including both reporting to City Deal Governance groups, and delivery through the Programme Delivery Office (PDO) and the innovation hubs.
The Edinburgh and South-East Scotland City Region Deal was announced on 20th July 2017 by UK and Scottish Governments. Innovation is to play a significant role in the Deal, attracting £350M of Government funding, with a Data-Driven Innovation Programme at its heart, which seeks to make the region the European leader for applying data science to products and services. The University of Edinburgh will lead this major initiative in collaboration with partners from the private, public and third sectors.
This is a unique opportunity to shape, lead and deliver a historic and ground-breaking programme of change and innovation. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead and deliver the investments and activities of this programme. The DDI Programme Director will establish and build the Programme Delivery Office (PDO) of this significant and multi-faceted programme by designing and delivering an appropriate programme structure. This will support the rollout and implementation of projects, throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring the outcome achievement and benefit realisation over the 10-year investment Programme and 15-year outcome period.
The post is offered on full-time, open-ended basis.
